Free Standard Plan
  • All parcels of our members shipped with Buyandship are protected by this plan
  • Each parcel, associated with a unique tracking number, is considered independently
  • The compensation of delivery fee will be refunded into the corresponding member’s account in Buyandship credits, which can be used within one year
  • For the details of the plan, please refer to “Excluded from Coverage”, “How to Claim” and the information in this table
Lost Parcel Coverage
  • Only applicable when the entire parcel is lost
  • Not applicable for the case of partial loss
    (i.e. some expected contents missing)
  • Requires accurate parcel declaration information and proofs of purchase
  • Compensation will be the lesser of the parcel’s declared value or the invoice sales price
  • The maximum compensation per parcel is US$100 and will be settled in HKD based on the exchange rate
Damaged Parcel Coverage
  • If parcel contents cannot function properly, Buyandship will investigate the claim after receiving a request. Compensation will be determined by the investigation result
  • The maximum compensation will be 30% of the delivery fee
  • The compensation of the relevant delivery fee will be refunded in Buyandship credit
  • No compensation will be made if any parcel is at the following conditions
    • With liquids, dangerous goods and prohibited items;
    • With fragile goods, goods with improper packaging, and goods that lack appropriate protection
      (e.g. ceramics, glasses, LCDs, books, paper products, and plastic products);
    • With intact packaging;
    • With distorted, demolished, or damaged outer packaging where there is no actual damage to the contents;
    • Parcels packed without an appropriately strong outer carton box, wooden box, and sealed packaging
Advanced protection with Buyandship Plus
  • Fee
    • Members can purchase Buyandship Plus during the parcel declaration process. The fee is 3% of the declared value of parcel and will be collected together with the delivery fee (Minimum charge: HK$24)
    • The maximum fee of Buyandship Plus per parcel (with one tracking number) is US$1,560
    • Members can get Buyandship Plus W, a 1-year warranty, with an additional fee of HK$200.

  • Compensation
    • Buyandship may refuse a claim for compensation and return if the declared value of parcel is lower than the price stated on the proof of purchase
    • If the declared value of parcel is higher than the price stated on the proof of purchase, the fee of Buyandship Plus collected will not be refunded
    • The compensation of delivery fee will be refunded into the corresponding member’s account in the form of Buyandship credits, which can be used within one year
    • No Buyandship Plus fee will be refunded in any compensation
  • All protection of an order shall be effective upon order completion

Buyandship Plus provides
Lost Parcel Coverage
  • In the case of the entire loss of a parcel, the compensation will be the whole value of the parcel and 100% of the delivery fee of that parcel
  • In the case of any partial loss, Buyandship will investigate the claim after receiving a request. Compensation will be determined by the investigation result
  • The compensation of the value of the lost parcel will be paid in cash
  • The compensation of the relevant delivery fee (excluding Buyandship Plus fee) will be refunded in Buyandship credit
  • Compensation will be based on the parcel’s value or the invoice sales price, whichever is the lesser
  • The maximum compensation per parcel is US$52,000 and will be settled in HKD based on the exchange rate
Damaged Parcel Coverage
  • If parcel contents cannot function properly, Buyandship will investigate the claim after receiving a request. Compensation will be determined by the investigation result
  • The maximum compensation will be 30% of the delivery fee and US$100 of the value of the parcel
  • The compensation of the value of the damaged parcel will be paid in cash
  • The compensation of the relevant delivery fee (excluding Buyandship Plus fee) will be refunded in Buyandship credit
  • No compensation will be made if any parcel is at the following conditions
    • With liquids, dangerous goods and prohibited items;
    • With fragile goods, goods with improper packaging, and goods that lack appropriate protection
      (e.g. ceramics, glasses, LCDs, books, paper products, and plastic products);
    • With intact packaging;
    • With distorted, demolished, or damaged outer packaging where there is no actual damage to the contents;
    • Parcels packed without an appropriately strong outer carton box, wooden box, and sealed packaging
Free Return Shipping
  • Only applicable to returns to USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Japan-based sellers who offer return service
  • The application of return should be submitted with all necessary documents within 90 days upon receipt of the parcels
  • 100% of the delivery fee (excluding Buyandship Plus fee) will be refunded in Buyandship credit
  • After receiving the documents, we will send a return shipping label by email and help to arrange a courier for collecting the returned parcels
  • The returned parcels should be sent out within 7 days upon receipt of the return shipping label
  • The estimated delivery time from Hong Kong to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or Japan is around 5-14 working days
  • Please confirm all restrictions and return deadlines with your sellers prior to initiating a return. Buyandship will not be liable for any delivery delays

Buyandship Plus W
  • Offers a 1-year repair and maintenance service for designated electronics
  • If a parcel contains more than one product, one of the products can have the free repair service
  • If the repair centre confirms that the product cannot be repaired, Buyandship can recycle the product and member can get a cash amount of the product’s price as a return
  • The product’s price will be based on the parcel’s value or the invoice sales price, whichever is the lesser, and will be settled in HKD based on the exchange rate
  • Members can get Buyandship Plus W with an additional fee of HK$200 while purchasing Buyandship Plus
Devices covered
  • Only applicable to the following devices
    • Laptop
    • Smartphone
    • Apple Watch
    • Switch and
    • Dyson’s household appliances
  • Any products in the following conditions are not covered
    • Broken screens
    • Product misuses or directly or indirectly man-made damages (use wrong voltage, crashes, etc.)
    • Data recovery requests
    • Damages due to the Act of God (such as devices getting wet)
    • Devices being confirmed that can not function normally before purchase
Repair Flow
  • If the product cannot function properly, members require to send an email with all relevant documents to Buyandship for requesting a repair service
  • After receiving the claim form, we will contact the member by email in 7 working days and help to arrange for the repair
  • Members have to bring the product and the claim form to the designated repair centre in the time arranged
  • To prevent data loss, members need to back up the product themselves if necessary
  • If the result shows that the damage of the product is not caused by humans or by any result from the excluded conditions, the product can have a one-time free repair service
  • If the repair centre confirms that the product cannot be repaired, members can either handle the product by themselves or request a recycling with Buyandship

Condition of Parcels
  • Dangerous goods and prohibited items
  • Parcels containing liquids
  • Fragile goods, goods with improper packaging, or goods that lack appropriate protection, including ceramics, glasses, liquid crystal displays (LCDs), books, paper products, and plastic products
  • Parcels with improper packaging or inappropriate protection
  • Goods with intact packaging contained in parcels of any state
  • Distorted, demolished, or damaged outer packaging without any actual damage to the parcel contents
  • Parcels packed without an appropriately strong outer carton box, wooden box, or sealed packaging
Natural Disasters
  • Any Damage/ Loss which may be due to
    • Natural deterioration or losses
    • Bad weather, lightning, tsunamis, earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters during transportation
    • Any temperature or humidity changes
    • Natural disasters may include, but are not limited to, earthquakes, tornadoes, storms, floods, fires, plagues, fog, snow, frost, or geological disasters
Unforeseen Circumstances
  • Negligence or actions by any customs agency, carrier company, or government officials, such as customs returns, flight delays, et cetera
  • Parcels with improper, incomplete, or false declaration information, or which lack a valid tracking number
  • Parcels with false proof of receipt, inaccurate pre-declared information, wrong delivery from sellers, or no inbound information
  • Suspicious or fraudulent websites, or any inability to contact the sellers
  • Parcels that lack a valid signature by a receiver at a Buyandship warehouse, or that lack certified proof of delivery by the responsible oversea courier to our overseas warehouse
  • Parcels lost in transit prior to receipt at a Buyandship warehouse, or where the sender provided false documentation
  • Parcels damaged, deteriorated, or in otherwise poor condition upon arrival at a Buyandship warehouse, or which contain quantities of goods different from the amount ordered from the seller
  • Parcels with contents that have passed its shelf life, warranty period, or other time-sensitive conditions due to the customs clearance
  • Losses due to fluctuations in market prices
  • Transportation accidents, invasions, insurrections, strikes, or other regional disputes, such as civil disturbances, terrorist attacks, or war during parcel transit
  • Radioactive contamination
  • Government sanctions
  • Any temporary prohibitions or restrictions on exporting or importing goods imposed on any of Buyandship’s export or service regions

How to Claim
Precautions for Receiving Your Parcel
  • Check that the parcel’s packaging is intact and that there is not a significant difference between expected and actual weight
  • No matter the condition of the outer packaging, inspect the parcel first in the presence of the courier or any relevant staff before signing the courier’s delivery receipt
  • If the parcel or its contents are found to be damaged, please prepare the following documents and keep all the packaging and contents of the parcels until the investigation is completed
    • Proof of purchase, such as invoices or transaction records
    • Photographs of the packaging of the parcel
    • Photographs of the contents of the parcel
  • If the parcel or its contents are found to be damaged, you reserve the right to refuse to sign any documents from the courier and to take photographs of the parcel immediately
General Claims Process
  • Applicable to the claims of damaged parcels and lost parcels
  • Please send the above documents to support@buyandship.today with "Member ID + Order Number + Claim” in the email subject
    • Proof of purchase, such as invoices or transaction records (including the the product’s content and value)
    • Delivery notifications from the sellers
    • Photographs of the packaging and contents of the parcel (if any)
    • Contact details of the sellers
    • Buyandship reserves the right to request members to provide more information as needed
  • Buyandship reserves the right to refuse a claim if any above-mentioned documents are lacking or if we are not able to confirm the necessary details
  • Please keep all the packaging and contents of the parcels until the investigation is completed
  • We will respond within 7 days after all the necessary documents are provided
  • Any claim of compensation will NOT be accepted 3 or more days after the receipt of the parcel
  • Any claim of compensation will NOT be accepted if the parcel has not been claimed for more than 30 days after its arrival at our overseas warehouse
  • Members will be notified by email upon completion of the claim
Free Parcel Return Service exclusive to Buyandship Plus
  • Any application of return service shall be made within 90 days upon receipt of the parcels
  • For requesting a return service, please prepare the following documents and send an email to support@buyandship.today with "Member ID + Order Number + Free Parcel Return” in the email subject
    • Proof of purchase, such as invoices or transaction records (including the tracking number and the actual value and quantity of goods purchased)
    • Communication records between the member and the seller during the purchase
    • The size and weight of the parcel after it is well-packed
    • Photographic records of all contents in the returned parcels
    • Contact details of the seller, including the recipient’s individual or company name, delivery address, phone number, email address, and tax information of the company
    • Buyandship reserves the right to request members to provide more information as needed
  • Upon receipt of the completed form including all the documents, we will send a return shipping label to the corresponding member by email in 7 working days and help to arrange a courier for collecting the returned parcel
  • Members need to confirm that the returned parcel is well-packed, especially for the fragile goods or any goods that may be easily damaged. Please note that Buyandship is not liable to any parcels damaged or being lost during the return process
  • After receiving the return shipping label, members need to print out the label and attach it on the outer packaging of the returned parcel
  • If your returned parcel contains a battery or liquid, a special label will be provided. You have to print that label in color and stick it on the parcel before the courier comes and collects it
  • The returned parcels should be sent out within 7 days upon receipt of the return shipping label
  • The estimated delivery time to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or Japan is around 5-14 working days
  • 100% of the delivery fee of that returned parcel (excluding Buyndship Plus fee) will be refunded into the corresponding member’s account in the form of Buyandship credits, which can be used within one year
  • Members are advised to confirm that return delivery falls within acceptable periods and limits as specified by the seller prior to initiating a return with Buyandship
  • Members are advised to confirm the terms and conditions of the seller’s parcel return policy, such as whether the original packaging is required or goods must retain all tags, prior to initiating a return with Buyandship
  • Members are advised to confirm whether the returned goods are safe to be transported by air. Buyandship is not liable to any unsuccessful return which may be due to any parcels that can not be sent out, returned or retained by the Customs
  • Buyandship will be responsible only for fees associated with the delivery from Hong Kong to the seller. We are not liable for any costs or fees assessed by the seller on the returned goods nor on the seller’s refund process
  • If the seller rejects the returned parcel, it will be sent back to the member's shipping address in Hong Kong
Buyandship Plus W
  • Members can get Buyandship Plus W, which is a warranty offering an avant-garde protection to your products, with an additional fee of HK$200 while purchasing Buyandship Plus
  • Every parcel can have a one-time free repair service. If a parcel contains more than one products, one of the products can have the free repair service
  • For requesting a repair service and getting the claim form, please prepare the following documents and send an email to support@buyandship.today with the subject of “Member ID + Order Number + Buyandship Plus W”
    • Proof of purchase (such as invoices or transaction records which includes the tracking number, actual value and quantity of goods purchased)
    • Details of the product going to be repaired (such as the tracking number, the model code, the colour of the product and the serial number)
    • Photographic records of the product going to be repaired
    • Buyandship reserves the right to request members to provide more information if needed
  • Upon receipt of the completed form, we will contact the corresponding member by email in 7 working days and help to arrange for examining and repairing
  • Members have to bring the product and the claim form to the designated repair centre in 14 working days, and back up the product themselves before visiting the repair centre if necessary
  • The repair centre is only responsible for restoring the product to normal condition. During the repair work, the product might be formatted or fixed with non-genuine parts depending on the condition of the individual product
  • After checking the condition of the product, the repair centre will directly contact the member to report the inspection result
  • If the result shows that the damage of the product is not caused by humans or any excluded conditions, the product can have a one-time free repair service. The inspection results reported by Buyandship designated repair centres shall prevail in case of any discrepancies
  • If the product to be repaired has both damages covered and excluded by Buyandship Plus W, Buyandship will not be responsible for the repair and maintenance of those damages which are not covered by Buyandship Plus W (such as man-made damages or broken screens, etc.)
  • If the repair centre confirms that the product cannot be repaired, the member can decide to either handle the product by himself/herself or file a claim for requesting a recycling service with Buyandship. Buyandship will take the ownership of the product, and at the same time pay the product’s price in cash to the member
  • The product’s price will be based on the parcel’s value or the invoice sales price, whichever is the lesser, and will be settled in HKD based on the exchange rate
